Art & Performance

25 years of Butoh, contemporary dance, and theatre

Artist Statement

I view my art as an avenue toward self-development that leads to raising one's level of consciousness and ultimately to self-realization.

My work bridges Eastern and Western traditions—Butoh's depth and stillness meets Western contemporary movement. The body becomes the instrument of transformation, both for performer and witness.
